Kawempe host She Corporate in crucial title race clash as Matchday 15 unfolds

Matchday 15 of the FUFA Women Super League promises intriguing action with six fixtures set to be played across the weekend, three on Saturday and three on Sunday.

Saturday’s action will see Olila High School WFC host Asubo Ladies FC at Olila Ground, while Kampala Queens FC take on St Noa Girls FC at MTN Omondi Stadium. In the other fixture, Rines SS WFC welcome Uganda Martyrs High School WFC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

The clash between Kampala Queens and St Noa Girls is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the day, with both sides eager to secure maximum points as the league campaign intensifies.

On Sunday, the spotlight will firmly shift to Kawempe Muslim Ground where Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC host league leaders She Corporate FC in a crucial top-of-the-table clash.

Kawempe head into the encounter determined to reclaim the summit from She Corporate, who currently lead the standings with 35 points, two ahead of their rivals. The two sides have remained closely matched since the start of the season, and Sunday’s meeting could prove decisive in shaping the title race.

The timing of this fixture mirrors the first-round meeting between the two teams when Kawempe needed victory to move above She Corporate in the standings. On that occasion, the Valley Warriors delivered a commanding performance, securing a comfortable 2–0 win.Sunday’s contest therefore carries enormous significance for both sides, with the outcome likely to have major implications for their title ambitions.

Kawempe are expected to rely on their progressive attacking style of play, particularly when playing at home. Much of their build-up play is likely to pass through the midfield where Agnes Nabukenya provides versatility, linking defence to attack and combining with Dorcus Kisakye to drive the team forward. The hosts will also look to stretch the opposition through the flanks using the pace of Jovia Nakogolo and Asia Nakibuuka.

However, Kawempe’s defensive midfield area remains an area of concern as they continue to seek the stability that defined their performances earlier in the season. This is an area She Corporate may look to exploit, especially when transitioning quickly from defence to attack.
