The Senegal national football team will play two friendly matches during the upcoming March international break as part of their World Cup preparations. The Senegalese Football Federation confirmed that the Lions of Teranga will face the Peru national football team on March 28 at the Stade de France, before returning home to take on the Gambia national football team on March 31 in Diamniadio.
These fixtures are designed to fine-tune the squad ahead of a busy year. Senegal will also meet the United States national soccer team on May 31 in Charlotte, in what will serve as their final warm-up before the 2026 World Cup. In the group stage, Senegal is set to face France and Norway, with the final opponent still to be determined through playoffs.
With these high-level tests, Senegal aims to build rhythm, evaluate squad depth, and sharpen competitiveness as the tournament approaches. The match at the Stade de France, in particular, offers a prestigious setting and a strong benchmark against international opposition.
