The Government of Namibia through the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Sports, Youth, Arts & Culture rewarded the Brave Gladiators half a million with each player set to pocket N$ 21,739.13 while each member of the technical bench receives N$ 25,000.00 with-the head coach getting N$ 50,000.00
During the official ceremony held at the Government Office Park, line minister, Hon Sanet Steenkamp applauded the Gladiators for the historic performance
“Your victory is a triumph for Namibian football and a powerful sign of the growing strength of women’s sport in our country. You have inspired young girls across Namibia to believe that with dedication, discipline and teamwork, anything is possible.”
Meanwhile, the Brave Gladiators received a reward boost of N$ 300,000.00 from Namibia’s telecommunication giants after their historic COSAFA Women’s Championship win earlier this month.
The sponsorship forms part of MTC ’s continued commitment to the growth of sport in the country, particularly football.
