Krepin Diatta ruled out of Monaco-PSG match

Senegal star Krepin Diatta, forced off early in Lens this weekend, will miss Wednesday’s Champions League play-off second leg between Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco.

AS Monaco will be without Diatta at the Parc des Princes, for the Champions League playoff second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Senegalese international Krepin Diatta was substituted after just 30 minutes in AS Monaco’s 3-2 win at RC Lens this past weekend due to a hamstring injury.

As a result, he is not among the 21 players selected for Wednesday’s Champions League play-off second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Diatta left the field early at Bollaert Stadium after sustaining the injury during the Ligue 1 match.

The Krepin Diatta injury occurred midway through the first half when the winger signaled discomfort in his thigh. He was replaced by Aladji Bamba in the 31st minute.

For Monaco, the timing was unfortunate. Diatta’s pace and vertical runs are crucial to stretching opposition defenses. His withdrawal required tactical adjustments as the visitors were already struggling to contain Len’s attacking momentum.

Senegal benefited from Diatta’s contributions during their victorious 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, where he featured in six matches as Senegal defeated hosts Morocco national football team 1-0 in the final.
