England : Thomas Tuchel extends his contract until 2028

Thomas Tuchel has not yet led England into his first major tournament, but the 52-year-old German has already secured his future with the national team.

According to the British press, the English Football Association decided to move quickly and extend his contract ahead of the 2026 World Cup, keen to avoid the risk of losing him to a major club offer, notably from Manchester United.

In an official statement, the FA confirmed that Tuchel will remain in charge until UEFA Euro 2028, which will take place in the UK and Ireland. Unbeaten during qualification for the FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA, the Three Lions scored 20 goals and kept a clean sheet throughout the campaign.

Tuchel’s assistants, Anthony Barry, Henrique Hilário, Nico Mayer and James Melbourne, have also extended their contracts until the summer of 2028.
