Delta Queens endured a disappointing outing on Matchday Eight of the NWFL Premiership, falling to a resounding 4–0 defeat against Remo Stars Ladies in Ikenne.
Playing away from home, Delta Queens struggled to cope with the attacking intensity of their hosts, who dictated proceedings from the blast of the whistle.
Daniella Fagbenro opened the scoring in the 16th minute, finishing off a well-worked move to hand Remo Stars Ladies an early advantage.
Despite efforts to regroup and contain the pressure, Delta Queens found it difficult to break through the defensive organisation of the Ikenne-based side.
The home team maintained control for much of the encounter, limiting Delta Queens’ attacking options and forcing errors in key areas.
The second half brought more frustration for the visitors. Kehinde Ajayi doubled the lead in the 74th minute, capitalising on defensive lapses to put the result beyond doubt.
In stoppage time, Daniella Fagbenro grabbed her second of the night before Deborah Kehinde added another deep into added time to complete a dominant 4–0 victory for Remo Stars Ladies.
The result marks a significant setback for Delta Queens as the league campaign gathers momentum.
Having shown flashes of promise in previous fixtures, the Asaba-based side will now need to reassess and respond quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings.

Elsewhere, Ahudiyannem Queens delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the round with a 5–1 thrashing of Confluence Queens in Aba.
Sunshine Queens edged Nasarawa Amazons 1–0 in Akure, while Rivers Angels secured a 2–1 away win over Ekiti Queens in Abeokuta.
In Uyo, Edo Queens defeated Ibom Angels 2–1, Abia Angels beat Dannaz Ladies 2–0, and Heartland Queens triumphed 3–1 over Bayelsa Queens in Owerri.
Adamawa Queens claimed a 2–0 victory against Naija Ratels in Abuja, while FC Robo Queens were awarded a 3–0 walkover against Osun Babes due to administrative issues involving the visitors.
For Delta Queens, attention now turns to their next fixture as they aim to bounce back strongly and reignite their push in the NWFL Premiership.
