Andre Ayew has brushed aside questions about retirement, insisting he remains fully committed to the game as long as his body allows him to compete at the highest level.
The Ghana international, who currently plays for Dutch side NAC Breda, made it clear that thoughts of stepping away from football are not occupying his mind.
“I live my life day to day. I don’t think about that,” Ayew said when asked about the possibility of retirement. “I think when the time comes, your body will tell you. For now, my body is not responding negatively at all, so I need to continue working.”
Now in the latter stages of a career that has spanned multiple leagues and major international tournaments with Ghana national football team, Ayew’s comments reflect the mindset that has defined him for more than a decade. Discipline, resilience and an unwavering focus on performance have long been hallmarks of his journey.
At NAC Breda, Ayew has brought experience and leadership to a squad eager to compete, while continuing to demonstrate the physical sharpness that has kept him relevant at the professional level. His approach remains simple. Listen to the body. Stay ready. Keep working.
