Meanwhile, Olila H/S WFC and Asubo Ladies FC are still searching for their maiden wins of the season.
St Noa Girls FC produced a statement performance to hand Kampala Queens WFC their third defeat, securing a 1-0 victory at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. The visitors started brightly, controlling possession through midfielders Patricia Nayiga and Brenda Nassaka, whose composure on the ball allowed St Noa to dictate the tempo in midfield and disrupt Kampala Queens’ usual buildup play.
Despite enjoying large spells of possession in the first half, St Noa struggled to translate their dominance into clear-cut opportunities. Kampala Queens maintained a compact defensive structure that limited space in dangerous areas, ensuring the contest remained goalless at halftime.
Kampala Queens returned from the break looking more purposeful and pushed higher up the pitch in search of a breakthrough. However, their attacking play lacked sharpness in the final third. The defending champions struggled to create enough clear chances and when opportunities presented themselves, they were not clinical in front of goal. Their build-up play often slowed in advanced areas, allowing St Noa’s defence to regroup and close down spaces.
At the half-hour mark, St Noa started showing glimpses of breaking the deadlock with Marion Serenge and Dorcus Lwalisa leading the attacking charge and stretching the Queens’ defensive line with intelligent movement.
The breakthrough eventually arrived in the 75th minute when Marion Serenge capitalized on space outside the penalty area and unleashed a powerful strike from distance, beating the goalkeeper and securing all three points for St Noa Girls FC. The goal also marked Serenge’s third in four appearances in the second round, highlighting her growing influence in the league.
