The Copper Queens have returned to Lusaka from Polokwane, South Africa, where they competed in the 13th edition of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship 2025.
The chartered Proflight plane carrying the team touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) at 18:22 hours.
Zambia finished third after beating Zimbabwe 3–1 in the third-place playoff, following a semi-final defeat to Namibia. FAZ Deputy General Secretary Iva Lengwe and FAZ Head of Media and Communications Nkweto Tembwe were on hand to welcome the team.
The squad will remain in camp in Lusaka as preparations for WAFCON continue.
